Controversial plans for China’s ‘super embassy’ in central London pose a “significant” security risk, US lawmakers have warned.
Senators on the US Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party warned the proposed site in Tower Hamlets risked “interference and surveillance” from Beijing and “risks for sensitive infrastructure like London’s financial services”.
