Plans for a major upgrade to one of Barry's train stations and a proposal to turn a piece of agricultural land into a 'dog adventure land' have been approved. Here is a round up of the stand out planning applications made to and approved by the Vale of Glamorgan Council over the past couple of weeks.

An application has been put to the Vale Council to turn agricultural land into a dog exercise field. 'Dog Adventure Land', has been proposed for land south of Ty Mynydd Farm in Welsh St Donats. If approved, the dog exercise field will include obstacles and units like a dog tunnel, dog pools, wooden platforms, and picnic tables.
