A man who had a promising future as a recruitment consultant ended up losing his business and home as a result of the covid pandemic before turning to Class A drug dealing to make ends meet and support his young children.
Robert Hicks, 31, was stung by police who found a stash of cocaine and hundreds of pounds in cash when they took their opportunity to pounce.
Officers swooped on Hicks as he was sat in his car in a car park waiting to make a drop. When cops checked his phone, they found a message which he had received just minutes earlier asking how long he was going to be because his contact had people waiting for their delivery.
