Project Motor Racing is out now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with full mod support across every platform, but the launch hasn’t gone the way the team had hoped. While the game arrived promising authenticity, deep simulation, career mode and creator tools from day one, a lot of players haven’t been impressed.
X, Reddit and YouTube are full of posts and clips criticizing the handling, force feedback, performance issues and overall feel. Steam reviews have dipped into very negative territory and plenty of users have already decided to get a refund.
Straight4 Studios has already responded, releasing 1.5 patch notes promising major improvements to physics, force feedback, online stability and a long list of fixes. They mention the game was shaped by people who love motorsport and hope updates will finally get players to feel that way too.
