- DPH officials have said that there is “no evidence of immediate danger in the building and no reason to limit access to or use of the facility at this time.”
- Beyond environmental assessments, health officials will also research the medical and genetic histories of the affected teachers to determine the statistical probability of common causes for the cancer diagnoses.
- Medical experts, including Dr. Sam Nardello, indicate that a direct link at the school is improbable, explaining that most breast cancers are associated with environmental factors like smoking and alcohol, rather than rare chemical exposures.
