A leading pro-Trump super PAC has recently made a significant investment in ad time in key swing states, aiming to counter the advertising advantage that Kamala Harris and her Democratic allies have gained in recent weeks.
Over the past two days, MAGA Inc., the super PAC, has secured approximately $15.8 million in new ad bookings. These ads are scheduled to run from this week until Election Day and are strategically focused on four crucial battleground states.
In Pennsylvania, the group allocated a total of $5.9 million for ad placements. This includes $3.8 million targeting the Pittsburgh market, $712,000 for the Harrisburg market, $300,000 for the Johnstown market, and $1.09 million for the Philadelphia market. Additionally, MAGA Inc. earmarked $4.35 million for ad bookings in North Carolina, $3 million in Georgia, and $2.6 million in Arizona.
This influx of funding will enable Republicans to narrow the advertising gap that has widened since Kamala Harris joined the Democratic ticket. From July 22 to the present, Democrats have outspent Republicans on presidential race advertising, with a total expenditure of approximately $645 million compared to $415 million. Democrats have also maintained a significant lead on digital platforms, with over $100 million more spent overall.
While the advertising competition has been tighter in key swing states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, Arizona, North Carolina, and Nevada, Democrats still hold the upper hand. They have collectively spent around $482 million in these states, compared to the $369 million spent by Republicans.
