Pro-Trump Group Launches Ad Criticizing Biden On Economy In Georgia

A pro-Trump dark money group, Securing American Greatness, has launched a new ad on Georgia airwaves ahead of the first presidential debate. The ad takes aim at President Joe Biden's handling of the economy, specifically focusing on inflation and its impact on local communities.

The ad opens with a clip of Biden stating that prices are decreasing, despite evidence to the contrary. It questions why Biden is not acknowledging the severity of the inflation problem, suggesting it may be due to dishonesty or cognitive decline.

The group highlights the challenges faced by Georgians, such as significant rent hikes and rising grocery prices, while Biden touts his economic achievements. The ad urges Biden to acknowledge the negative effects of inflation and to take action to address the issue.

The ad questions Biden's honesty or cognitive decline regarding inflation.

Securing American Greatness, classified as a 501(c)(4) organization, has been actively involved in a pro-Trump ad campaign, with a focus on battleground states like Pennsylvania and Georgia. The group has spent over $14 million since June on advertising efforts.

Notably, GOP megadonors are backing various outside groups to support Trump's campaign and bridge the advertising gap between Democrats and Republicans. Democrats have outspent Republicans significantly in advertising, with a total of $156.6 million compared to $51.7 million from Super Tuesday to debate day.

This week, both parties and their affiliated groups are investing $4.2 million in ad spending in Georgia, with Democrats leading the way at $3 million compared to Republicans' $1.2 million.
