A television advertisement meant to showcase Ken Paxton's record on child protection has become a target of online mockery after its tagline appeared to boast that he removes missing children's posters.

The 30-second spot, paid for by a Republican super PAC backing Paxton's Texas Senate bid, pairs the line 'When missing posters go up, Ken Paxton takes them down' with footage of a hand snatching a missing-teenager flyer from a telephone pole.
