Pro-Israel stall helper charged after 'man sprayed with dye'

A MEMBER of a pro-Israel stall in Glasgow has been charged after a man was allegedly "sprayed with dye".

Police were alerted to the incident on Buchanan Street, in Glasgow city centre, at around 1.15pm on Saturday.

The man did not require medical treatment.

A 79-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident.

Police Scotland confirmed a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

The National understands the arrest is related to an incident at a pro-Israel stall which is located on Buchanan Street.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.15pm on Saturday, 8 August, 2026, we received a report of a male having been sprayed with dye on Buchanan Street in Glasgow.

“He did not require medical treatment.

“A 79-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
