Jamal Agnew has spoken highly of his new teammate Calvin Ridley after he trained with the team for the first time.
Ridley was suspended for the entire 2022 season after being found to have bet on NFL games, and was reinstated ahead of the new campaign.
But while being out for the year, the Jacksonville Jaguars traded for him - with the Atlanta Falcons giving him away for very little draft compensation.
A former first-round pick, Ridley played just five games in 2021 before taking a step away from the sport and being suspended for the following season - playing just five games since 2020.
But in that season, Ridley had an incredible year as he registered 1,374 receiving yards and eight touchdowns - while being one of the more elusive route-runners in the league.
And after returning to the team this off-season, Pro Bowl returner Agnew has been extremely impressed with what he's seen, insinuating that he remains the same player from 2020 and sending a warning to the rest of the league.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Agnew said: "We’ve got an explosive offense already. But add Calvin into that offense off of what we built last year already? The league gotta watch out... Just the way he moves, you can see. His route running, he can run, catch anything you throw to him, he's just different, man.
"You just watch him out there, he's a mismatch nightmare. In my opinion I don't think anybody can guard him in the league."
Ridley will join the ascending Jaguars alongside quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who took a huge leap in the second half of the 2022 season.
Lawrence had been seen as a generational quarterback prospect when he entered the draft in 2021, but questions were already being asked after a woeful first 20 games to his NFL career.
But after an extremely impressive final half of last season, Lawrence is now already seen as a top-10 quarterback and he'll look to enter the elite conversation - being hugely aided by the addition of Ridley.
As well as Ridley, the Jaguars will have an impressive receiving core along with Christian Kirk, Zay Jones, Evan Engram and Travis Etienne.
