KOLKATA: Several private schools in the city have decided to again shift classes to online from Monday, responding to chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s appeal to bring forward the summer vacation to May 2, given the current spell of extreme heat.
But with syllabi incomplete, administrative tasks pending and board exams due to continue next month, private schools said they wanted to continue classes, but online, before breaking for summer holiday.
