NEW DELHI: Indian opener Prithvi Shaw is facing an extended period on the sidelines as a result of a knee injury sustained during his stint with Northamptonshire in the One-Day Cup in England. According to reports on ESPNCricinfo, scans following the injury have revealed a more severe condition than initially anticipated.
"After initially consulting a surgeon in London, Shaw returned to the NCA in Bengaluru for another assessment. At the moment, the medical team is examining all possible options regarding Shaw's treatment and surgery is likely to be the last resort," stated the report.
