Priscilla Presley "wasn't a huge fan" of the wedding dress she wore when she married Elvis Presley and decided not to hold on to it.
While many stars turn to big name designers for their wedding attire, Priscilla bought her white gown from a department store.
The pearl-embellished dress featured lacy long sleeves and the blushing bride paired it with a tiara and three-foot tulle veil.
The dress has since become iconic in pop culture history and has even been re-created for the upcoming biopic Priscilla, which focuses on the budding romance between Elvis and Priscilla.
The couple tied the knot in Las Vegas back in 1967 when the singer was 32 and his wife was 21.
A source has said Priscilla holds special memories from the big day, but there's one thing which she would rather forget.
"She was so in love with Elvis, so the memories are special, magical in fact. She was too young, but she has warm feelings about that day.
"She doesn't talk about it much, but she wasn't a huge fan of that dress, she loved the veil and her makeup, but the dress wasn't as shapely as she would have liked. I don't think she saved it," they revealed to Closer Weekly.
Priscilla has opened up about her decision to shop at high street stores to find her wedding dress.
"I went to places like Neiman Marcus in disguise. I went with a wig and everything just to keep it private," she said.
Speaking to British Vogue, Priscilla added: "It wasn't extravagant, it wasn't extreme — it was simple."
The actress admitted she "didn't have time" to stay and look for a dress, saying: "I had one fitting for this dress and that was it, I was out of there."
