MUMBAI: In a relief to the principal of a Kurla school, the Bombay High Court granted her pre-arrest bail after she was booked for allegedly making a casteist remark against a teacher.
Justice Milind Jadhav allowed the appeal by Swami Vivekanand Vidyalaya’s principal Lekha Visaria after the sessions court rejected her anticipatory bail plea. The Nehru Nagar police station on February 9 registered an FIR under the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 for insulting an SC/ST member within public view.
