The Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte’s piano duet for Kate’s Christmas carol concert required "no direction" and was "already so good", according to the piece’s composer.
The poignant performance, which saw mother and daughter seated side-by-side, was broadcast during ITV1’s Together At Christmas concert on Christmas Eve. Scottish composer Erland Cooper described his discovery that the pair would perform his work, Holm Sound, as "such a surprise", adding he was invited to Windsor Castle for the filming of the segment.
