Princess Eugenie has given birth abroad in Lisbon, Portugal, and has revealed the name of her newborn daughter, Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank, as the royal line of succession shifts once again.

The arrival marks an unusual overseas birth for a member of the Royal Family and comes against the backdrop of continuing controversy over her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who remains eighth in line to the throne despite no longer holding the title of prince.
