Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell says Queen was a 'surrogate mother' to him

Paul Burrell has shared his devastation after hearing the news of the Queen's death on Thursday, saying he "couldn't believe it".

The longest-reigning monarch in British history died peacefully at the age of 96 and Paul, who was a former butler to Princess Diana, has spoke of his sadness in a heartfelt tribute to Her Majesty.

The 64-year-old opened up to Talk TV's The News Desk following the announcement and described the Queen as being like "my surrogate mother".
