One of Princess Diana's most-prized heirlooms has been earmarked for Princess Charlotte, it has been claimed.

The seven-year-old daughter of William and Kate - the new Prince and Princess of Wales - is now set to be given "the pick of the palace jewels".

This is thanks to her being the only daughter of the now next in line to the throne following the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the accession of King Charles III.
