Princess Charlotte has paid tribute to her great-grandmother the Queen with a badge pinned to the outfit at Her Majesty's state funeral.
The seven-year-old royal walked behind the late monarch’s coffin alongside her older brother Prince George and her parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales. Dressed in black and wearing a formal hat, one small detail stood out on Charlotte’s outfit.
Pinned to her coat was a silver horseshoe badge, in what is believed to be a nod to the Queen’s love of horse riding and racing, The Mirror reports . The monarch was given her first horse, a Shetland pony called Peggy, at the age of four - by 18 the Queen was an accomplished rider, and continued to ride horses into her nineties.
