Princess Charlotte dubbed royal 'secret weapon' after five-second moment at Coronation

Princess Charlotte has been dubbed as the Royal Family's 'secret weapon' after her mature behaviour during the Coronation weekend.

The eight-year-old was applauded for her "poised" performance throughout the three-day celebrations for the historical event as she appeared with her parents and two brothers, George and Louis. During the concert she was spotted dabbing during her father's Coronation speech with many joining in at home,

Royal commentators were also impressed with the princess' down-to-earth nature as she showed off her easy going personality when she dropped a s'more but followed the five second rule and popped it in her mouth, the Mirror reports.

Columnist Angela Mollard praised the young royal who she described as "poised yet enthusiastic, watchful but involved" throughout.

She told 7News : “With all the focus on the new King and Queen, the Princess of Wales’ effortless glamour and the new royal wave introduced by Prince Louis, one person was overlooked in the pomp and pageantry of the Coronation.

“She is only eight, a spare and not an expected heir, but Princess Charlotte has revealed herself to be the royal family’s secret weapon.

Angela continued: “For now, the third in line to the throne is enjoying a playful normal childhood but if, as expected, she does turn out to have the work ethic and the chutzpah of Princess Anne, along with the style of her mother and grandmother, the royal family will be counting their blessings.”

It has recently been reported that Prince William has allegedly struggled to buy gifts for his beloved wife Kate Middleton in the past.

The Princes of Wales once confessed to getting her such a terrible present that she has "never let him forget it" after she was left completely baffled by his offering.

William revealed the bizarre gift during an appearance on ex England striker Peter Crouch's podcast on BBC Radio Five Live..

Speaking of the presents they had bought their wives, Crouch confessed to buying his model partner Abbey Clancy a raincoat three years running for her birthday.

William admitted: "I did get my wife a pair of binoculars once - she's never let me forget that. That was early on in the courtship that was - I think that sealed the deal.

"It didn't go well. Honestly, I have no idea why I bought her a pair of binoculars, it seemed like a good idea at the time."

The Prince appeared on the podcast in 2020 where he discussed his love for football and how he enjoys both watching and supporting the game.

However, it seems playing in matches is no longer as easy as it once was for the 40-year-old who admitted he struggled in his last game earlier this week.

His confession was revealed during an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle, where he presented former England striker Luther Blissett an OBE.
