The Princess Royal has visited Glasgow today following the death of her mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Princess Anne was accompanied by her husband Sir Tim Laurence on her visit to Glasgow City Chambers to meet representatives of organisations of which the Queen was patron.
Queen Elizabeth passed away on Thursday (September 8) at the age of 96 at Balmoral in Scotland. Anne and the new King Charles III were at her side.

The Princess Royal was met by the Lord Provost Councillor Jacqueline McLaren, in her capacity as Lord Lieutenant. She was then accompanied into the City Chambers where she was introduced to the leader of Glasgow City Council, Councillor Susan Aitken; Director of Finance, Martin Booth; Lord Dean, May Storrie (Second Citizen) and Deacon Convener Bruce Reidford.

Royal Scottish Society of Arts

The princess was also seen greeting well wishers in George Square, shaking hands with members of the public and viewing tributes paid to her mother.
