Princess Anne has once again earned the title of the hardest-working member of the Royal Family.
The Princess Royal, 72, carried out 214 engagements in 2022, including trips to the US and the Falkland Islands.
It was the highest number of official engagements according to analysis of the Court Circular, the official registry of visits and duties by senior royals.
Anne also led the royal engagements league in 2021, when she attended 387 engagements, as well as in 2018, 2016 and 2015.
Second in this year’s rankings was her brother King Charles, who took the throne in September after the death of their mother, the Queen.
He completed 181 engagements, analysis by Reboot SEO Company found, almost 40 more than those carried out by his younger brother, Prince Edward, who came in third position.
The Earl of Wessex completed 143 engagements, followed by his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex, who raked in 138.
Prince William, who following the death of his grandmother three months ago became the new Prince of Wales, carried out just 126 official engagements. He also carried out engagements for his global environment project The Earthshot Prize, which had its second annual awards ceremony this year in Boston.
William carried out 36 more official visits and duties than his wife Kate, Princess of Wales, who came ninth with a total of 90 official duties completed.
She was beaten by Camilla, Queen Consort, who is in sixth position with 102 engagements.
In June, to mark her Platinum Jubilee, Buckingham Palace revealed Queen Elizabeth II carried out more than 21,000 engagements in her 70-year reign.
Her final engagement took place just two days before her death on September 8, when she received incoming Prime Minister Liz Truss on September 6 at her Balmoral Estate in Scotland.
King Charles’ accession has not boosted public support for the monarchy, according to a YouGov poll.
It remains at 60%, the same as June. Graham Smith, from Republic, said: Lots of people have serious concerns about the monarchy.”
