Prince William will cheer on Lionesses in Euro final - and 'may bring Princess Charlotte'

Prince William will be at Wembley on Sunday to cheer on England's Lionesses in the Euros final - and he reportedly could be joined by Princess Charlotte.

The England women's football team recorded an emphatic 4-0 victory over Sweden last night to book their place in the final, where they will play either France or Germany.

Today it was confirmed that William, who is president of the Football Association, will attend the match.

It comes after he congratulated the team on reaching the final last night saying: "The entire country is so proud of everything you're achieving. We believe in you and will be with you all the way!"

And according to MailOnline, an FA source has said William is considering bringing seven-year-old Charlotte to the big game - although her attendance has not been confirmed.

William recently revealed on a visit to the Lionesses' training camp that his daughter was a keen footballer and loved playing in goal.

He told the team: "Charlotte wanted me to tell you that she’s really good in goal.

“She said, ‘please tell them that.’ Budding star for the future.”

And on social media, royal fans have also urged William to bring Charlotte to enjoy the game.

One wrote: "It would be great if Prince William and The Duchess of Cambridge would take Princess Charlotte to watch the match and support the #Lionesses."

While another said: "Congratulations to the lionesses on making it to the Euro final at Wembley stadium on July 31st. Hopefully, Prince William along with the Cambridge children will be there."

It's unknown if Kate will join her husband at the game as she is due to be at a sailing event in Plymouth on Sunday alongside Sir Ben Ainslie.

It has also not been confirmed if nine-year-old Prince George will be at Wembley for the match either - although he did take in the men's Euro final when England suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Italy last July.

He looked gutted after witnessing Gareth Southgate's heroes come agonisingly close to winning a first major trophy in 55 years.

But not before he celebrated wildly with his mum and dad when England went ahead early on in the game.
