Prince William has revealed the destination for his third annual Earthshot Prize awards - teasing an overseas visit with wife the Princess of Wales.
It has been announced that the ceremony for 2023 will be held in Singapore later this year.
Created by the Prince of Wales in 2020, the Earthshot Prize supports projects aimed at protecting the planet, with winners receiving a £1million grant for their environmental work.
William said the third annual awards ceremony will be held in Singapore on November 7, following on from London in 2021 and Boston last year - both of which were attended by him and Kate.
Making the exciting announcement, William explained: "The Earthshot Prize is all about showing the world that solutions to some of the biggest environmental challenges we face are out there.
"After two years of discovering impactful ideas and innovations, I am delighted that the Earthshot Prize is travelling to Singapore, where the ground-breaking solutions of our 2023 Finalists will be celebrated."
It was also revealed that for the first time this year, the awards ceremony will be accompanied by a week-long series of events dubbed Earthshot Week.
These events will be aimed at mobilising and scaling innovative solutions to protect and repair the planet.
Members of the public will also be invited to experience local activations centred on the 2023 cohort of Earthshot Prize solutions. The 2023 Earthshot Prize finalists are set to be unveiled in the autumn.
At last year's Earthshot Prize awards ceremony in Boston, William and Kate were greeted by hundreds of screaming fans.
Kate wore a stunning, floor-length dress from rental firm HURR by Solace London and Princess Diana’s emerald choker.
The royal couple were welcomed onto the green carpet after a succession of stars had arrived, including David Beckham, Rami Malek and Ellie Goulding.
Launched by William in 2020 and inspired by President John F. Kennedy’s iconic “Moonshot” challenge, the Earthshot Prize is the world's most prestigious environmental prize and aims to discover and scale innovative solutions to help repair and regenerate our planet
The Prize Winners will be entrepreneurs and innovators from around the world who have developed game-changing solutions to Protect and Restore nature, Revive our Oceans, Clean our Air, Build a Waste-free World, and Fix our Climate.
The Prince of Wales declared he wants to "supercharge" the impact of the finalists to inspire a "despairing world" that there is a way forward.
William described himself as a "stubborn optimist" in an article published a few hours before the last awards ceremony.
