Prince William stuns Lorraine Kelly as he makes surprise appearance on ITV show

Prince William stunned Lorraine Kelly as he made a surprise appearance on her ITV show. The Prince of Wales has thanked the presenter for her ongoing No Butts campaign, which was spearheaded by Dame Deborah James before her death aged 40 from bowel cancer last June.

The campaign returned to screens earlier this week in honour of the late campaigner, who set up the Bowelbabe cancer research fund and was one of the original presenters of the You, Me And The Big C podcast, for a third year. The initiative, which was first set up by Dame Deborah and 63-year-old Lorraine in 2021, strives to raise awareness of bowel cancer and the symptoms of the disease in support of Bowel Cancer Awareness Month.

This year, along with the original goal of raising awareness, the campaign will also celebrate the life of Dame Deborah. As part of the campaign launch on Monday morning's episode of Lorraine, Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke surprised Dame Deborah's mother, Heather James, with a special dance to honour her daughter.

The show also ended with a 'Dance for Debs', which saw presenters Dr Amir Khan, Dr Anisha Patel, Dr Hilary Jones, Ria Hebden, Mark Heyes and Claer Barrett, as well as Strictly stars Dianne Buswell and Tyler West, dance in Dame Deborah’s memory. Alongside Ms James, Dame Deborah’s sister Sarah Wieczorek also featured on the show and the family spoke about Dame Deboah’s lasting legacy and the return of the No Butts campaign.

Now, on Thursday's show (April 20), William, who visited the podcaster and campaigner at her family home to present her with her damehood and they shared afternoon tea and champagne days before her death, sent a special video message into Lorraine.

In the video, which was also posted on the Kensington Palace Twitter account, the heir to the throne said: "Hi, Lorraine. Just want to say a big thank you to you and your team for all you are doing to raise awareness around bowel cancer through your No Butts campaign. As you know, I got to meet Dame Deborah so I know how important this was to her.

"Forty-six thousand people in the UK get diagnosed each year with bowel cancer and yet many of us don’t know the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer, particularly in us men. So if you are watching this, please take a second to listen and learn about the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer. It could save your life."
