Prince William marked Father's Day in the United Kingdom this year by sharing a childhood photograph of himself with his father, King Charles III. The heir to the British throne posted the image on X with a caption that read, 'Happy Father's Day, Pa. W.'
The photo captures a young William and the then-Prince of Wales playing outside with a ball at Charles' feet. In a separate tribute, William's children - George, Charlotte, and Louis - shared a heartfelt message on their parents' Instagram account along with a photo of the family at the beach. The message from the young royals read, 'We love you, Papa. Happy Father's Day. G, C & L.'
The photo was taken by Catherine, Princess of Wales. The Father's Day celebration comes shortly after the Princess of Wales attended her first public engagement since being diagnosed with cancer. The 42-year-old royal joined other members of the British royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to celebrate the King's birthday on Saturday.
King Charles III is also undergoing treatment for an unspecified cancer. The 75-year-old monarch resumed his public duties in April while continuing to receive medical care.
