Prince William's concerned question to staff at Royal Liverpool Hospital

Prince William showed his concern for staff during his visit to the Royal Liverpool Hospital.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are currently being given a tour of a ward at the new hospital and meeting staff who have been working during the busy winter period.

During their visit to the critical care unit, the Royals were pictured laughing and smiling with staff as they thanked them for their service. William had met some of the critical care nurses at the hospital previously on a Zoom call. He said: “It’s such a long time ago now, what three years?”

As the Prince and Princess of Wales stopped to speak to porters and catering staff, they could be heard asking staff about patients and their care at the hospital. After thanking them, Prince William asked: "Are you looking after yourself?" To which they replied yes they are.

Prince William told staff: "The hospital can’t function without all the care you provide." He added they do an "amazing" job.

He also asked a member of catering staff whether chips were on the menu today. She said: “On the special”.

It is the Prince and Prince's first Royal visit since the release of Prince Harry's explosive memoir, Spare. King Charles is also in Aberdeenshire in Scotland today where he will be visiting to tour the Aboyne and Mid Deeside Community Shed and meet local hardship support groups.
