Prince William marks Father's Day with sweet photo as royal children match in blue

Kensington Palace has released a heartwarming photo of Prince William with his three children to mark Father's Day. The adorable snap follows King Charles III's first Trooping of The Colour ceremony held on Saturday, in which the Duke Of Cambridge's entire family played a role.

To celebrate the annual parental celebration on Sunday, William was pictured with daughter Princess Charlotte and son Prince George on either side of him, with Prince Louis hugging him from behind. While wife Kate is not present, all four other members are dressed in blue, with nine-year old George matching his father in trousers and casual shirts.

With a beaming smile, Louis is sporting a blue cable knit jumper, while Charlotte pairs a floral blue shirt with a white cardigan. The picture was taken on the Windsor estate earlier this year by Millie Pilkington, who has photographed the Prince and Princess of Wales' children on a number of occasions, the Mirror reports.

William's entire family were involved in Saturday's Trooping the Colour, the first of King Charles' reign. Louis, on the Buckingham Palace balcony, saluted during the traditional Trooping flypast and also pretended to ride a bike with his arms stretched out.

The Princess of Wales joined her children in a carriage with the Queen, travelling just behind the King, who was on horseback as part of the procession in a return to a tradition that Queen Elizabeth II stepped back from more than 30 years ago.

William rode behind his father, alongside the Duke of Edinburgh and the Princess Royal. Camilla and Catherine, as royal colonels, had prominent roles in the Trooping. Catherine wore an eye-catching green dress and hat, alluding to her role as Colonel of the Irish Guards. The Queen wore a red dress and black beret to represent her position as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards.

Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales has revealed that he wants to make it his mission to end homelessness in the UK. In an interview with The Times, William said that he will launch a "really big project" to take on the issue.

However, the details of the five-year project are being kept secret until the end of the month. "It's nerve-wracking," he said. "But I'm really excited. I've been waiting for the right time to do this."

While the project's details are secret for now, William revealed that there are social housing plans for the Duchy of Cornwall, the 130,000-acre property empire he now controls after becoming the Prince of Wales.

"You'll see that when it's ready," he said. "I'm no policy expert, but I push it where I can."
