ITV1 morning show Lorraine, hosted by Lorraine Kelly, welcomed a Royal guest as Prince William appeared on the show to send viewers a very important message. Prince William shared an exclusive message in support of this year’s No Butts campaign, which was started by Dame Deborah James, who campaigned to raise awareness for bowel cancer before her death.
No Butts campaign was created by Deborah to encourage people to check for bowel cancer, an illness she lived with for five years before her death in 2022, and Prince William awarded her her damehood shortly before she died. Now he's supporting the No Butts campaign and appeared on Lorraine to urge viewers to check for symptoms.
Appearing in a video link, he said: "Hi Lorraine, I just want to say a big thank you to you and your team for all you’re doing to raise awareness around bowel cancer through your No Butts campaign. As you know I got to meet Dame Deborah, so I know how important this was to her. 46,000 people each year get diagnosed with bowel cancer and yet many of us don’t know the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer, particularly in us men. So if you’re watching this, please take a second to listen and learn about the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer, it could save your life.”
