The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been praised for their 'in sync' approach during their visit to Scotland.
Prince William and Kate, who are known as the Earl and Countess of Strathearn when in Scotland, did the rounds across Scotland during their 48 hour trip and stopped off at St John's Primary School in Port Glasgow, Inverclyde.
The couple also visited the Wheatley Group site in Kennishead, Glasgow, Scotland's biggest social housing landlord, to witness all the amazing work they do for disadvantaged or vulnerable people, including those at risk of homelessness.
The pair have been praised for their 'down to earth' and 'confident' display during the visit.
Speaking on behalf of Slingo, body language expert Darren Stanton reveals: "The key message Kate and William are sending out during their Glasgow trip is really just how normal and down-to-earth a couple they really are.
"From the get go, the Royal couple looked calm and relaxed as they headed out in Glasgow during the first day of their trip.
“The confidence in each other and their relationship was visible in how in sync the couple were as they stepped out together.
"You’ll notice Kate and Will often match and mirror each other’s body position and gestures, like standing with their hands clasped in front and waving with one hand to the crowd, which represents the deep connection they share and the strength of their relationship.”
During their visit to Wheatley Group, William broke royal protocol when he embraced a Scots pensioner as he was overcome with emotion.
The royal pair greeted local residents and William embraced in a hug with the local man who shares his name, after he got a bit teary in the presence of the future King.
The couple showed off their 'down to earth' attitude during their visit to the primary school, as Kate was photographed sitting crossed legged, laughing amongst the kids.
Darren adds: "Keen to get stuck in, Kate kneeling and sitting with the children alongside William suggests how the Royal couple are keen to do things their own way.
"We would never have seen the Queen adopt this pose or interact quite so closely with members of the public as she is a stickler for Royal protocol, with her father instilling tradition in her from an early age.
“However, Kate and William have shown they are going to operate within the tried and tested boundaries of senior Royals, yet they have a more hands on approach and a desire to get in amongst the thick of things with everyday members of the public.”
"“It’s very clear from the couple’s body language that they have adopted very different parenting styles to that of the Queen and Prince Charles.
"Kate and Will were quite happy to sit cross-legged on the floor, interact with other parents and play with the children."
Darren believes Kate's hands on approach during royal visits shows she will be a hands-on mother as they raise their children in the Monarchy.
“Such hands-on behaviour suggests a lot about how they intend to raise their children, with the couple intending to be 100 percent around for their children while juggling their Royal commitments as senior Royals," says Darren.
"Kate’s expression is one of sheer enjoyment when she is around children and there’s no question she enjoys being a parent very much.
“Looking at their first appearance in Glasgow, it’s clear Kate and William have an authenticity about them, a confidence and a genuine happiness, as well as the ability to create trust and rapport with individuals they have never met before.”
