Prince William and Kate Middleton's Scottish home is perfect for family holidays - but does this detail cause squabbles between George, Charlotte and Louis?

Prince William, Catherine, Princess of Wales, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis arrive for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games at The Hydro on August 1, 2026.

The Royal Family famously spend time at Balmoral during the summer but the Prince and Princess of Wales don't have to sleep over there if they don't want to. The couple actually have their own home on the estate - Tam-Na-Ghar Cottage - which is believed to have been given to Prince William by the Queen Mother in 2002.

Nestled amongst the gorgeous landscape, it's totally private which is perfect for when they visit Scotland with the children. However, one thing I've never really thought about before is the size.
