Prince William and Kate Middleton did not respond to questions about Prince Harry's claims that the Queen needs protecting in his latest TV interview.
Harry spoke to America's Today show following his private meeting with Her Majesty and his secret visit to the UK.
Harry, who carried out the interview following his and Meghan Markle's appearance at the Invictus Games, seemed to issue a veiled warning to those surrounding the Queen during the telly chat.
He said he wanted to ensure the Queen, his grandmother, was “protected” and had “the right people around her”.
Following the comment, which has attracted worldwide commentary, he was unclear if he was referring to royal aides or family member.
However, his chat came as the Queen was celebrating her birthday and may well have worsened the rift he already has with his dad the Prince of Wales and his brother William and those in the palace.
Kate and William were visiting the London headquarters of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) after it managed to raise more than £300 million fro those affected by war in Ukraine, as reports the Mirror.
A journalist shouted to the couple as they were stepping into their chauffeur driven vehicle: “Sir, does the Queen need protecting?”
The Duke and Duchess did not respond and headed inside the car.
Harry had told the US broadcast about his reunion with the Queen saying: “Being with her it was great, it was just so nice to see her, she’s on great form.
“She’s always got a great sense of humour with me and I’m just making sure that she’s protected and got the right people around her.
"Both Meghan and I had tea with her, so it was really nice to catch up with her.”
He also said America was his home "for now" and revealed he had not yet decided if he and Meghan, Archie and Lilibet would return to the UK for the platinum Jubilee in June.
He said: "I don't know yet. There's lots of things: security issues and everything else.
"So this is what I'm trying to do, trying to make it possible that, you know, I can get my kids to meet her."
