Prince William is reportedly "adamant" that his relationship with Prince Harry will be repaired.
The Duke of Cambridge is not thought to have spent any private time with his brother during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
In the one jubilee event that Harry and wife Meghan Markle took part in, the brothers kept their distance from each other.
Although Prince William was said to be furious with the Duke of Sussex after Megxit, his feelings about the state of their relationship have now reportedly turned to sadness.
A friend told The Sun: “William is adamant that this relationship will be repaired. He still loves his brother very much. They will get through this and time is a great healer.”
The Duke of Cambridge thought Harry and Meghan's shock announcement about stepping back as senior royals was disrespectful to the Queen.
The pair initially fell out over William urging Harry to "take his time" in his relationship with Meghan.
He was also embarrassed when the couple gave a tell-all interview to US TV talk show Queen Oprah.
Royal sources claimed the pair played a low-key role in the jubilee celebrations due to their infamous interview back in March 2021.
Some senior royals believe they "crossed a line" in their Oprah chat, reports The Telegraph.
An anonymous aide previously told the paper: "[Harry and Meghan] are not going to be playing a prominent role. A line has been drawn."
The insider added that the pair have not made an "acknowledgement of the hurt it caused" and have been "relegated" as a result.
The two-hour Oprah interview caused controversy after Meghan and Harry shared some unsettling revelations during the chat with Oprah.
The Duchess of Sussex claimed there were "concerns" over their son Archie's skin colour. She also shared that she had suffered from "suicidal thoughts" and alleged that she was denied help from the Royal Family during her private struggle.
Harry went on to claim that his father and brother, Prince Charles and William, are "trapped" in the institution of the monarchy.
Following the interview, Prince William told a TV reporter "we're very much not a racist family".

Prince William's close friends say they do not think the brothers' relationship will be repaired anytime soon.
One of William's close friends told the Daily Mail : "He [William] alternates between grieving for what he has lost and feeling really, really angry about what his brother has done.
"He truly loves Harry and feels he has lost the only person, aside from his wife, who understood this strange life of theirs.
"But he believes there are things you just don’t do. And Harry has 100 per cent crossed that line."
