While Prince George spent the first years of his education at the Westacre Montessori School in Norfolk near to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's home of Anmer Hall, both Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis attended nursery in London.
The two younger Cambridge children studied at Willcocks Nursery School in West London, just a stone's throw from the family's home at Kensington Palace.
Princess Charlotte later joined her elder brother at Thomas's Prep School in Battersea. At the start of the summer, the three royal children would have faced the difficult task of saying goodbye to their classmates before their big move.
The Cambridge trio are all expected to join the same school in a few weeks time after moving house - Lambrook School near the Windsor Estate in Berkshire.
Prince Louis finished his time at Willcocks Nursery earlier this year and will no doubt be excited about his move to big school.
Louis' exclusive former school costs an eye-watering £14,500 a year to attend and sees their students, who are aged between two and four, study everything from French and maths and even takes them on educational trips to local museums.
Willcocks Nursery was founded in 1964 and the school clearly impressed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as not only did they send Princess Charlotte there, but they went on to send Prince Louis there too.
Willcocks is focused on helping children meet their full potential and offers the youngsters the chance to undertake French and maths lessons, as well as regular poetry workshops.

The small class of students are encouraged to play and explore, with activities like jigsaws, drama and cooking all on the agenda. The school also arranges trips to nearby museums and parks.
The trio's new school charges an increasing annual fee as the children go through the school, meaning that the three Cambridge children's education will cost an incredible £71,344 a year.
When he joins in Year 1, Prince Louis's annual fees will amount to £17,556, while Princess Charlotte's will total £25,792 and Prince George's will be the highest at £27,996 per year. The school boasts incredible facilities which include a 9-hole golf course, a polo field, a bee farm, scuba diving clubs and a mini Masterchef club.
Something else that the three youngsters will have to get used to very quickly is the fact that they have to attend compulsory Saturday school.
A source told The Telegraph : "Even the most local parents like the idea of their smalls being able to stay over for a night when necessary – it means they can throw dinner parties and have hangovers without having to get the kids to school the next day."
