Royal fans were delighted when a smart Prince Louis arrived for the Coronation looking adorable in his military-style outfit.
But there was confusion when he appeared to going missing from the ceremony and wasn't seen sitting next to his parents the Prince and Princess of Wales and his siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
However, the reason why he was not seen watching the service has been revealed - and it is all to do with his tender age.
At five years old, he did process into the Abbey with his family - but due to still being young, he was "retired" during the service, which was planned for the young prince.
However, he will join his family once again at the end of the ceremony for the procession out of the Abbey and in the carriages for the journey back to Buckingham Palace - and was later pictured sitting with his family again.
It came after the youngster was seen yawning and fidgeting during the service for his grandfather the King’s Coronation.
During the first half of the ceremony, he could be seen letting out a big yawn, while also taking the opportunity to point out something of interest to his sister Charlotte. He yawned again shortly after the King was crowned, just after midday.
Earlier, Louis arrived at Westminster Abbey in an outfit made by Dege and Skinner which consists of a Hainsworth Garter Blue Doeskin Tunic with specially designed lace work embellishment to the collar, cuffs and fronts. The leg garment is black complete with Garter Blue stripe.
Meanwhile, Charlotte mirrored Kate in her own an Alexander McQueen dress and cape in ivory silk crepe with ivory satin stitch embroidery featuring rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock motifs to signify the four home nations.
She also wore a Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen headpiece silver bullion, crystal and silver thread work, similar to the one worn by her mother.
Older brother Prince George did not join his siblings as he arrived with the other boys who are taking on page of honour duties for both the King and Queen Camilla.
He and the other boys have been given the prestigious task of being pages of honour, which involves helping to carry the King Charles and Camilla's heavy state robes.
After the ceremony all five of the Wales family will join the procession back to Buckingham Palace behind the gold state coach, where the route has been lined with hundreds of wellwishers.
They will ride in a carriage, which will be followed by a series of other carriages carrying the likes of the new Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh as well as Lady Louise Windsor and James, the new Earl of Wessex.
In addition, the family will appear on the Palace balcony later where they will greet the huge crowds and enjoy the RAF flypast.
