US President Donald Trump has publicly confirmed that King Charles III and Queen Camilla will undertake a formal state visit to the United States from 27-30 April, highlighted by a state banquet at the White House in Washington, D.C.- a centrepiece of the trip marking the 250th anniversary of American independence.
In his official public announcement via a post on his Truth Social account, Trump said, 'Melania and I are pleased to announce that Their Majesties, the King and Queen of the United Kingdom, will visit the United States for a Historic State Visit from April 27-30th, which will include a beautiful Banquet Dinner at the White House on the evening of April 28th.'
