Prince Harry shares sweet update on Archie, Lilibet and pet dogs during charity video call

Prince Harry has shared a sweet update on his family life over in the US with wife Meghan Markle , their two children and three pet dogs.

Harry was chatting to winners of the 2022 WellChild Awards, with him and Meghan having been due to attend the award ceremony before news of his grandmother the Queen ’s death was announced last month. In the heartwarming video call, the prince , who is patron of the national charity for seriously ill children and their families, congratulated the winners and apologised for not being able to see them in person.

At one point during the call, Harry talked about his three-year-old son Archie, as well as one-year-old daughter Lilibet, The Mirror reports . Speaking to award winner Henry Waines, aged four, the prince said: “You sound just like my son Archie really.

“The same little squeaky voice,” he added. “I love it.” Henry then took the opportunity to ask after the royal's two young children.

“They are great,” Harry answered with a beaming smile. “Archie is very very busy, and Lili is learning to use her voice, which is great!”

Elsewhere in the video call, Harry light-heartedly admitted that the family’s three dogs cause them “all sorts of trouble”. He told 13-year-old Isabelle Delaney, who has an assistance dog named Hope: “We all need a dog that keeps us calm.

“I've got three [dogs] in this house now, so we basically have five children,” the prince explained. “I've got a black Labrador called Pula, a rescue beagle called Guy, and we've got another rescue beagle called Mia.

“And between the three of them, they charge around chasing squirrels and causing all sorts of problems to us every single day,” he went on. “But they are also emotional support dogs, 100 percent - when they're behaving.”

There was an emotional moment during the call as Harry spoke to Evelyn Rodger, a children’s hospice nurse whose role was funded by the Princess Diana memorial fund. She told the prince: “I think your mum would be very proud of what that money has achieved.

“And I also think as a mum she'd be very proud of you, Harry,” she added. Harry thanked the nurse, telling her that her comment was “very sweet”.
