Prince Harry says William saw red mist and wanted him to hit back in new ITV trailer

The latest trailer for Prince Harry's tell-all ITV interview with Tom Bradby sees the the Duke of Sussex open up further on his altercation with his brother, Prince William.

Ahead of Sunday's show, Harry is seen talking to the journalist about the "red mist" he noticed his older sibling had in their spat.

He claimed his brother was looking for him to retaliate, but he resisted.

Opening up on their dispute, which Prince Harry also describes in his new autobiography titled Spare, he told Tom: "What was different here was the level of frustration, and I talk about the red mist that I had for so many years, and I saw this red mist in him.

"He wanted me to hit him back, but I chose not to."

Elsewhere in the teaser, Tom gets Harry to open up on his drug use, including Marajuana, magic mushrooms and cocaine.

The journalist says the frank discussion will "surprise people," but Harry insists it is "important to acknowledge".

And the Duke also admitted reconciliation is what he wants but he insists "first, there needs to be some accountability.

"The truth, supposedly, at the moment, has been there’s only one side of the story, right? But, there’s two sides to every story."

The latest comments come off the back of a number of other revelations to have made it out in the public prior to his interviews in the UK and the US and book release.

In a heartbreaking confession, he says he found out his grandmother the Queen had died when the news appeared online.

His book was accidentally sold in Spain and in one excerpt he revealed how he was met by Princess Anne in Scotland as he tried to visit the late monarch prior to her death.

From there, he went to Balmoral to see her but he was too late. The Sun reported he said: "I stayed in one place without moving, gazing at her for a long time, gathered strength and continued going forward."

He also said he "whispered to her that I hoped she was happy and that she was with grandpa".

Harry: The Interview airs on ITV1 and ITVX at 9pm on 8 January.
