Prince Harry says he loves Serena Williams' 'vibe' as he appears on Meghan's podcast

The first episode of Meghan Markle's highly-anticipated podcast 'Archetypes' has been released and featured her close friend and tennis legend, Serena Williams. The hour long episode saw the pair discuss the stereotypes and barriers women face, as well as their personal experiences in the public eye.

Following the release of their conversation, Williams shared a black and white snap of the pair with her four-year-old daughter, Olympia, to Instagram. Serena gushed over the former actress in the caption of the post, writing to her 15.2 million followers: "I loved talking about so many important topics with my dear friend Meghan as her first guest on #archetypes for @spotify! It’s out now and worth the listen, especially if you’re ambitious."

But Serena wasn't the only guest-star who could be heard during the first episode as Prince Harry also made a short cameo appearance before their interview got underway.

Before Meghan and Serena opened up about their own experiences of what it is like to deal with scrutiny in the public eye, Prince Harry entered the room and could be heard speaking with the two women.

The brief conversation starts with Meghan saying to Harry: "Hi! You wanna come say hi? Look who just popped in."

As both Meghan and Serena mimic Harry's British accent, the tennis legend says: "Hello! Hello there!” and Harry can be heard saying “How you doing?”

Harry then says: “I like what you’ve done with your hair! That’s a great vibe.”

While both Meghan and Serena later touched about the struggles they faced being new mothers, the tennis legend confessed Harry actually helped her with her decision to retire from the sport long before it was publicly announced.

Meghan then told Serena: "I think, you know, I think both of us, or the three of us, really know that sometimes the right decision isn't the easiest decision. It takes a lot of courage, I think, too, to stop something in many ways than to keep going sometimes."

The lengthy conversation also saw Meghan refer to her infamous letter-writing campaign that lead to soap company Proctor and Gamble amending their sexist TV advert.

Meghan also revealed she heard about a fire in Archie's bedroom after an early engagement (Getty Images)

Elsewhere in Meghan's new weekly podcast, she revealed the harrowing story of how Archie's bedroom caught fire during their 2019 tour of South Africa.

Meghan revealed that Archie's nanny, Lauren, was preparing to put him to bed but decided at the last minute to take him with her to get a snack.

The host told Serena : "There was this moment where I’m standing on a tree stump and I’m giving this speech to women and girls, and we finish the engagement, we get in the car and they say there’s been a fire at the residence... There’s been a fire in the baby’s room.

“We get back, our amazing nanny, Lauren is in floods of tears. She was supposed to put Archie down for his nap and she just said, ‘You know what? Let me just go get a snack downstairs.’

“In that amount of time that she went downstairs... the heater in the nursery caught on fire,” Markle said.

“We came back, and of course, as a mother... everyone’s in tears, everyone’s shaken. And what did we have to do? Go out and give another official engagement.”
