Prince Harry's female ancestor from 100 years ago who looks just like him

Royal fans have been quick to point out Prince Harry's striking resemblance to a female ancestor who ruled nearly a century ago.

Many feel he looks the spit of a young Mary of Teck, the UK's Queen consort from 1910 to 1936, MyLondon reports.

The wife of King George V also had prominent red hair and there's no denying they have similar features.

Some have pointed out online just how much the Duke of Sussex and his great-great-grandmother look very alike - and it has also been noted by royal experts.

Speaking of the similarity between Prince Harry and Queen Mary when she was young in a post on twitter, one person branded them "twins".

Others have pointed out there was no denying the likeness.

Historian Rebecca Rideal said previously: "You can see Queen Mary's facial features in our current Queen, her children and even Prince Harry."

Prince Harry and Queen Mary are not the only ones where comparisons between their looks have been made.

Prince Charles is often cited as the spitting image of Queen Victoria's eldest son who became Edward VII in 1901.

And we could be getting to see Harry in the UK later this year, according to reports.

He and wife Meghan Markle could soon return to Britain to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in a bid to boost their brand, it has been claimed.

Her Majesty marks 70 years on the throne this summer, with celebrations set to take place over a special four-day bank holiday in June.

Harry, 37, and Meghan, 40, are now living in California with their children Archie and Lilibet after quitting royal duties in March 2020.

A royal PR expert says it would actually be good for both of them to make time for the overseas reunion.

Pauline Maclaran is a professor of marketing and consumer research at the School of Management at Royal Holloway and author of Royal Fever.

She told the Daily Express the Sussexes need their connections within the royal family.

"I think it would add to the royal celebrations to have the element of diversity reclaimed that they seem to have lost through the sort of rupture of the relationship with Meghan," she said.

"I think it would be very good for the Sussex brand as well as they really need to maintain those sort of royal connections to really validate their brand, otherwise what are they.

"So because it might benefit them more than the actual Royal Family brand that might in fact encourage them to make a visit to top up their brand as it were with a little bit of royal shimmer and glimmer."
