Prince Harry has surpassed his brother Prince William in popularity among Americans, according to a recent poll.
The Duke of Sussex's approval ratings took a significant leap, marking a positive shift for him after the release of his memoir caused a a divide in public opinion.
Data collected by YouGov during the second quarter of 2023 revealed that Prince Harry enjoyed a 48 per cent approval rating, with only 24 per cent expressing disapproval.
This gave him a net approval rating of +24, overtaking Prince William, who received a 43 per cent approval rating and a 21 per cent disapproval rating, resulting in a net approval rating of +22.
While both princes experienced a dip in popularity following the release of Prince Harry's memoir, another noteworthy finding from the poll was the popularity of Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate garnered a 46 per cent approval rating and an impressively low 11 per cent disapproval rating, giving her a remarkable net approval rating of +35.
The survey, conducted between April and June, involved approximately 1,500 interviews. It adopted a different methodology from standard surveys, which usually span only a few days.
The latest survey revealed also 85 per cent were familiar with Meghan and 84 per cent with Kate Middleton compared to 95 per cent for both William and Harry.
It comes as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly 'done' with releasing bombshell revelations in the forms of books and interviews.
During an episode of Good Morning Britain last week, royal correspondent and author Valentine Low discussed Prince Harry and Meghan's future.
Host Susanna Reid asked: "What do you think Harry and Meghan are going to do next in America? Is there going to be a book written by Meghan about her experience in the Royal Family? We know the lost Spotify Netflix deals… what is the thinking in the royal family about what might face them next?"
He responded: "I think Harry and Meghan do want to move on. I’ve spoken to their people who, basically, in terms of accusations against the Royal Family, they say ‘we’re done, we’ve done that'."
Co-host Ben Shephard questioned: "So no more revelations?" as Susanna added: "No more bombshells?"
"It’s not that there won’t be any shots because there might be shots… but I don’t think that there will be a concerted thing like a book or a programme or a big interview. They’ve learned… Meghan’s not stupid," Valentine said.
"She knows you’ve got to do something positive now, you can’t carry on harking on that same negative message."
