Prince Harry "needs friends" unless he wants to be "swallowed up by Tinseltown", an expert has claimed.
The comments come after he missed the wedding of best friend Jack Mann over the weekend.
So close were Harry and Jack thought to be, it was reported that he wanted Jack to be his best man at his 2018 wedding to Meghan Markle instead of his brother William. Ultimately, Jack was part of Harry's "band of brothers" and rumoured to be an usher.
"They used to be part of a gang of super eligible young men," said Ingrid Seward, royal biographer and the editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine. "They looked out for each other, socialised together, and went to each other’s stag do’s and weddings. Until now that is."
Harry and Jack met when they attended the Royal Academy Sandhurst and played polo together. Seward said, "Jack found a soulmate in Harry and they remained mates ever since."
But after doing tours together in Iraq and Afghanistan and both being commissioned into the Blues and Royals, it's unclear how close the two still are.
The Duke of Sussex admitted in his tell-all memoir Spare that he "fell out" with some of his old friends after criticising the Royal Family on television.
Jack married Isabella Clark, an osteopath, in Sutton, Suffolk at St. Peter's Church this weekend.
Though Harry wasn't there, another one of his friends was in attendance, Thomas van Straubenzee and his wife Lucy. Van Straubenzee is also the godfather of Princess Charlotte.
Harry however remained Stateside with Meghan in Santa Barbara, and the two were pictured California leaving an office building on Friday.
However, according to Seward, the long distance shouldn't have been a problem.
Seward explained: "It is a long trip from LA to Suffolk but Harry could have managed even if he left Meghan at home. He could easily afford the First-Class air fare if he didn’t fancy shelling out for the private jet’s he has developed a taste for.
"It is not a good sign."
Seward concluded: "Everyone needs friends and unless Harry wants to get swallowed by tinsel town’s fantasy life, he needs them more than ever."
