Prince Harry likely to return for Coronation 'without Meghan' claims royal butler

Prince Harry is now likely to attend his father's coronation in May - but will do it without wife Meghan Markle by his side, one palace insider has said.

Former royal butler Paul Burrell has claimed that Meghan isn't "brave or strong enough to be there", reports the Mirror.

Paul has also claimed that the King has taken the moral high ground by inviting the pair to his coronation, after their attacks on the Firm in recent months.

The former royal butler also noted that it will be "incredibly uncomfortable" for Harry and Meghan to reunite with the Royal Family in May if they decide to attend the coronation.

Paul said: "It's likely to be incredibly uncomfortable for them if they attend, particularly Meghan. Are they prepared to face the music?

"I don't think Meghan's brave or strong enough to be there - she'd have to look in the eyes of a family she's pushed under the bus."

The former butler added: "But I think Harry may come alone and she's probably told him she won't be able to be by his side with him if he does attend."

The 64-year-old also noted that it will be hard for Harry to come face-to-face with stepmother Camilla, following the accusations he made against her in his memoir Spare.

In his book, Harry wrote that he and his brother Prince William begged their father not to marry Camilla. He also referred to her as "the other woman" and said he feared her being a "wicked stepmother".

Speaking to Closer magazine, Paul said that Harry has "blamed Camilla for things she didn't do", and noted that it will be "painful" for him to attend the coronation.

A spokesman for the couple revealed: "I can confirm the duke has recently received email correspondence from His Majesty’s office regarding the Coronation.

"An immediate decision on whether the duke and duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us at this time."
