Prince Harry has sent two clear signs he's 'cut off his life in the UK', says expert

Prince Harry has sent two recent signals that he has "cut off his life" in the UK, a royal expert has said.

The Duke of Sussex has only made a handful of visits back to his homeland since quitting his royal role in 2020 and carving out a new life for himself in the United States.

He has missed events including his late grandfather Prince Philip's memorial service and, more recently, King Charles' first Trooping the Colour parade and the Scottish Coronation.

And just this week, he recorded a separate message to his estranged brother Prince William to mark the Diana Award, which is presented in their late mother's memory.

Meanwhile, he was also absent from the wedding of Jack Mann, one of his polo-playing pals, who he revealed in his memoir Spare was his real best man - not William. Speaking on True Royalty TV's The Royal Beat, royal correspondent Matt Wilkinson says this has been very telling.

He explained: "As with the fact that William and Harry didn’t appear together for the Diana Award, Harry not attending his best man’s [wedding] is quite a symbol that he’s just cut off his life back in the UK..

"They’ve got nowhere to live, so where would they be, the Premier Inn round the corner? They don’t have a base here in the UK, and they’re worried about security." His comments come as Harry was spotted earlier this week with his two-year-old daughter Princess Lilibet attending a Fourth of July parade.

Photos obtained by the Daily Mail show Harry in a green shirt and a pair of jeans at the parade, which he accompanied with a baseball cap and some sunglasses. He was seen carrying Lilibet in his arms while at the event, with his daughter sporting a patterned blue dress, white socks and a pair of red shoes for the occasion.

According to PageSix, Prince Harry's wife Meghan - whom he has been married to since 2018 - and their eldest child Prince Archie, four, were also in attendance at the parade. The parade that the family attended this week is said to have featured vintage vehicles - which had been decorated with the American flag - passing through the streets.

It came ahead of Harry's father, King Charles, 74, attending a coronation ceremony with other members of the Royal Family including Queen Camilla, 75, in Scotland.
