Prince Harry fans 'distracted' as they think Spare narrator sounds exactly like TV chef

It's safe to say that Prince Harry's memoir Spare details some very intimate and private parts of his life – from losing his virginity in a field behind a pub, to getting frostbite on his penis.

Spare sold over 1.4million copies on the first day, and it became the UK's fastest-selling non-fiction book ever. While some prefer a physical copy of the book, others are getting the full experience, narrated by the Duke of Sussex himself.

And while the content itself is eyebrow-raising enough, audiobook readers have become completely distracted by something else – and now they can't take him seriously.

Many Spare readers are claiming that Prince Harry sounds exactly like a famous TV chef – Gordon Ramsay.

Ramsay, who was born in Johnstone, south-west Scotland, is best known for his highly acclaimed restaurants and fiery temper on a number of TV programmes including Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen.

Many readers have started pointing out that the Duke of Sussex's voice is very similar to the TV chef.

One Twitter user said: "Did Gordon Ramsay do the audiobook for Prince Harry? Or have I just never noticed how alike they sound?"

Another said: "Realised Prince Harry has a [very] similar voice quality to Gordon Ramsay [and] I cannot take him seriously now."

"Someone told me Gordon Ramsay narrated Prince Harry's memoir and I've been listening to segments on social media totally oblivious. I only found out it's not true today."

A fourth added: "Is it me or does Prince Harry read excerpts of his book sounding like he's doing an impression of Gordon Ramsay?".

"Someone said Prince Harry reading out his audiobook sounds like Gordon Ramsay and now that's all I hear," commented another.

They weren't alone in spotting a likeness, with ITV's Lorraine Kelly retweeting The Scotsman columnist Alastair Dalton's tweet: "Harry's slightly clipped intonation while reading extracts from his book on Harry The Interview sounds a little bit like Gordon Ramsay."

She then commented: "A LITTLE bit! I thought it was Chef Ramsay."

Prince Harry's ITV Interview was a 90-minute chat with journalist Tom Bradby, which was broadcast two days before the release of his book.

The Duke of Sussex has come out with many explosive claims in his interviews surrounding the book, including that Prince William found it hard that he had a beard during his wedding to Meghan Markle.
