Prince Harry did not eat dinner with his dad King Charles and brother Prince William at Balmoral on the night the Queen died, it has been claimed.
When news emerged of the Queen's failing health on Thursday, royals including Charles, William and Harry raced to Balmoral to be by her side. Charles made the trip from elsewhere in Scotland, William travelled with relatives Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex, while Harry made the trip separately. After it was announced the Queen had passed away, the royals stayed the night at Balmoral before Charles, William - the new Prince of Wales - and Harry all made their separate ways back to London.

But writing in the Daily Mail, royal expert Richard Kay says despite all being on the Highlands estate together, sources say the King went to his Birkhall home, also on the estate with William - but Harry stayed at Balmoral Castle with his other relatives.
He quotes a source as saying: "Two dinners were being hosted on the royal estate that night and there was a clear divide: One was for the new king and his heir, the other was for the rest of the family."
There has been much made of the rift between the two brothers with their frosty relationship reportedly sparked by William's concerns over Harry's fast-developing relationship with Meghan Markle ahead of their royal wedding in 2018.
The tense row quickly boiled over - with Harry claiming his brother was "trapped" within the royal system during a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey after quitting as a senior royal.
But despite the divide, just under 48 hours William sent a dramatic final-hour text inviting Harry and wife Meghan Markle to Windsor Castle to view tributes the the late Queen and greet wellwishers with him and wife Kate, the new Princess of Wales.
Dressed all in black, both couples looked slightly nervous as they arrived together in one car before spending about 40 minutes chatting to waiting fans outside the grounds of the castle.
William and Kate were due to meet well-wishers and look at the floral tributes before William sent a text offering Meghan and Harry a last-minute invitation to join them, a source told the Daily Mail.
They told the paper: "It happened very quickly – remarkable really considering they didn’t see each other in Scotland."
Meanwhile earlier today, Harry issued a personal and emotional tribute to his grandmother the Queen following her death at the age of 96 on Thursday.
His tribute talked about his "darling wife" Meghan meeting Her Majesty and his children Archie and Lilibet hugging their great-grandmother.
In a statement released this morning, he said: "In celebrating the life of my grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen—and in mourning her loss—we are all reminded of the guiding compass she was to so many in her commitment to service and duty.
"She was globally admired and respected.
"Her unwavering grace and dignity remained true throughout her life and now her everlasting legacy.
"Let us echo the words she spoke after the passing of her husband, Prince Philip, words which can bring comfort to all of us now: “Life, of course, consists of final partings as well as first meetings.
"Granny, while this final parting brings us great sadness, I am forever grateful for all of our first meetings—from my earliest childhood memories with you, to meeting you for the first time as my Commander-in-Chief, to the first moment you met my darling wife and hugged your beloved great-grandchildren.
"I cherish these times shared with you, and the many other special moments in between.
"You are already sorely missed, not just by us, but by the world over. And as it comes to first meetings, we now honour my father in his new role as King Charles III.
"Thank you for your commitment to service. "Thank you for your sound advice. "Thank you for your infectious smile.
"We, too, smile knowing that you and grandpa are reunited now, and both together in peace."
