Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have recently faced multiple tough times in business after they were dropped from Spotify earlier this month.
Their £18m deal with the digital music streaming giant was cancelled meaning the Duchess' award-winning Archetypes podcast was axed after just one season.
Rumours were growing that Meghan was potentially collaborating with Dior after their contract with Spotify came to an end but a spokesperson for the fashion house has confirmed that a deal is not going ahead with the former Suits actress.
The duo are reportedly being told to come up with a series of new ideas in order to maintain their contract with Netflix following their hit docuseries 'Harry and Meghan' which came out last December.
Their upcoming Netflix shows allegedly includes a series called Bad Manners which is inspired by Charles Dickens' Great Expectations novel, the Mirror reports.
The show is said to be based off Dickens' character Miss Havisham with the prequel set to recreate the famous lonely spinster as a strong woman who's living in a patriarchal society.
The Duke and Duchess' struggles to secure new deals are said to be a reflection of the state of Hollywood at the moment with such deals in the past being easier to come by for those with such high profiles as Harry and Meghan.
It's believed that the problem is only going to get worse for some of the biggest names in Hollywood within the next year.
YouTube’s former global head of original content, and now teacher at UCLA, Susanne Daniels, told the LA Times: "I do think these deals are going to be fewer and farther apart because there’s a lot of belt-tightening right now."
She opined that the new so-called overall deals will decrease "significantly" next year.
Her claim comes after a PR expert explained to the Mirror what the potential difficulties Meghan and Harry may face when pursuing new deals.
Chad Teixeira believes that the pair may find brands are "hesitant" to create a partnership, saying: "Given the recent setbacks with Spotify and Dior, it is likely that Meghan will be considering her next steps carefully.
"Her reputation precedes her, and with her credible status, she holds the potential to partner with large brands. However, these recent snubs may create hesitation among potential partners."
Chad added: "It is important that her next move be strategic and aligned with her core values and personal brand, which will not only help her navigate potential partnerships but also resonate with her audience."
