Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are filming an 'at-home with the Sussexes docuseries' for Netflix as part of their $100million streaming deal, it has been reported.
The royals are said to have been filming with the production crew at their $14million Montecito mansion, with it unclear if the show will star Archie, three, and 11-month-old Lilibet.
The move could spark fears within the royal household over what the Duke, 37, and Duchess of Sussex, 40, might say, after their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey last year.
It is said camera crews have so far joined them on their trip to New York last September, when they went to the Netherlands last month for the Invictus Games and have been given access to their home.
It is not known if they will follow the family on their trip to the UK for the Queen's Jubilee in June.
"The timing is still being discussed, things are up in the air,” a 'producer in the know' told Page Six, while an insider added to the publication: "I think it’s fair to say that Netflix is getting its pound of flesh".
Mirror Online has contacted Netflix and Archewell Productions for comment.
The couple signed the blockbuster deal with the streaming giant in September 2020, but are yet to release any content.
The reported docuseries comes after Netflix dumped Meghan's animated series Pearl.
The show about a girl who is inspired by influential women throughout history - was being made by Meghan and Harry's production company Archewell.
All references to it on Archewell Productions' website, however, have been removed after it was dropped by the streaming service.
A synopsis of the series alongside a lengthy quote from Meghan could previously be found on the site.
The Duchess was listed as an executive producer on the programme with Elton John's husband David Furnish.
The show's axing is the latest blow for the couple after it was revealed they would be barred from the royal balcony at Buckingham Palace for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The monarch’s decision to only include royals carrying out official public duties was taken “after careful consideration”, Buckingham Palace said.
However, despite the seeming snub, Harry and Meghan have confirmed that they will come to the UK to attend the Jubilee celebrations this summer and will also bring their children Archie and Lilibet - who has yet to meet her great grandmother the Queen.
A spokesperson for the couple said: "Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are excited and honoured to attend The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations this June with their children."
It will be the first time Harry and Meghan have brought their family to the UK since leaving for the US.
On June 2, Trooping the Colour – the sovereign’s official birthday parade – will kick start the four days of Jubilee festivities, with 18 members of the royal family set to gather on the famous frontage, with the Queen “looking forward” the weekend of celebrations.
A Palace spokesman said: “After careful consideration, the Queen has decided this year’s traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday, June 2 will be limited to Her Majesty and those members of the royal family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of the Queen.”
