Prince Harry is said to have "absolutely no regrets" over his involvement in his and Meghan's self-titled Netflix series and was "delighted" with how they came across despite the negative commentary and headlines that have followed. While many have questioned the pair's motive for agreeing to the series, one royal author has offered his thoughts.
Author and investigative journalist Tom Bower made his stance on Harry and Meghan clear when he released his book 'Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War between the Windsors' earlier this year but has explained why he thinks the couple "feel they should be profiting from their royal celebrity status."
Speaking to The Sun, Bower expressed his belief that the couple planned to return to California soon after the wedding.
He adds that their controversial sit-down chat with Oprah Winfrey and their multi-million pound deals with Netflix and Spotify were "all part of the plan from early on."
He said: "They keep complaining about media intrusion, and yet keep opening themselves up to it. They always blame the media, but the media they are blaming is the same media they went and seduced with the likes of Oprah and magazines, and now Netflix.

"I think it’s for money. The whole point is they think they should be paid by the media for reporting on them. They want money for interviews and for appearances.
"Meghan wants to profit from being a celebrity, like how she was brought up. She could never understand how royal 'celebs' were not paid.
"They feel they should be profiting from their royal celebrity status. Previously, they were not paid."
Tom Bower previously revealed his personal views on Meghan during an appearance on Good Morning Britain after hearing several similar stories from his sources.
Bower told the hosts: "Overall I came across with the impression of a woman who is very intelligent, very determined, very ambitious, but also ruthless - and in the end, in her terms ‘successful’. The reader will have to make up their minds about whether she’s good or bad."
Bower also explained that some people he spoke with told him quite negative stories. He explained: "There were two agents who told horrible stories about her bullying and her oppression, and that was an eye opener."
Another of his sources was the Vanity Fair journalist Sam Kashner, who was "appalled by the nature of Meghan" during their two-hour chat shortly after her relationship with Harry came to light.
While Kashner later retracted his comments after they were written up by Bower, the author claimed: "That just shows the power of Meghan. On the 30th May I read to him all his quotations and most of the chapter of the book and he approved of it without comment.
"Meghan has got an ability to make people feel fearful, the truth is what I wrote was exactly what he told me, and was a horrendous story, he was absolutely appalled by the nature of Meghan. When he saw it in black and white he was fearful for his own profession."
