King Charles is still in discussions with his youngest son, Prince Harry, about whether he and Meghan Markle will attend the Coronation later this year, a royal expert has claimed.
Plans for the celebration were released last month, including a number of engagements for the new Monarch and his family.
However, it's not yet been confirmed if Harry and Meghan will fly back to the UK to be part of the historical event.
The Coronation itself will take place on Saturday, May 6, followed by two days of UK-wide celebrations - including a huge concert and a day of volunteering.
Speaking to Royalty TV's The Royal Beat, Hello magazine’s royal editor Emily Nash claims a decision hasn't been made yet, but admitted she’d be surprised if the Sussexes join The Firm for the Buckingham Palace balcony appearance.
She said: "I would be surprised. If we are sticking to working Royals then it would raise questions. But we know the King is very conciliatory and he wants to make peace, and I’m sure that these negotiations are probably ongoing as we speak."
Harry was asked if he was going to attend during a TV interview to promote his memoir, Spare.
He said: "There’s a lot that can happen between now and then. But, the door is always open. The ball is in their court.

"There's a lot to be discussed and I really hope that they’re willing to sit down and talk about it.”
Camilla will be crowned as Queen Consort alongside Charles at the Coronation, which will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury at Westminster Abbey.
Announcing details of the three-day weekend last month, a statement from Buckingham Palace said the service will "reflect the Monarch's role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry".
The day will begin with The King’s Procession, which will see the King and Queen travel to the Abbey from Buckingham Palace.
After the ceremony, they will return to the Palace for another ceremonial procession, which will involve other members of the royal family. They will then head up to the balcony to wave to well-wishers.
Although The Firm haven't confirmed which royals will be part of it, it's likely that the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their children George, Charlotte and Louis will have key roles.
